The beauty and importance of tea has always been acknowledged by those people who love it. As in every physical action there is physical side to the action and of course a sentimental/chemical side.
Of course it must be noted that Ice-Tea was historically founded after the proper tea with hot water.
So in order to have a good cup of tea, we headed to Kishmish Club, on Kicik Qala street 108. A design cafe in the Old City, close to the city center. The location is very good. However the real pleasure to the eye is met when entered to the place. A small place, consisting of a cocktail bar and tea house. The design has been made with many kinds of different souvenirs, books, candles and teapots. You may think the place is a heaven for teapots. And also it is easy to imagine that when teapots die, they bring them to Kishmish Club. Many, many teapots placed in the place. And in the end of the place a piano is located.
A very successful design, with few tables. However place being small and having so many souvenirs - does seem that it would be uncomfortable if all the tables were full. And people shall be careful in Kishmish, because any accident to a souvenir may cause a domino effect which could bring the whole place down. That is how much souvenirs there are. The lights are low and makes good atmosphere. There are candles around you, which you can choose to light.
There is only one waiter and one worker in Kishmish. The waiter can be distinguished by his uniformed outlook. There are three menus in Kishmish. And what they offer is sandwiches, salads, toasts, deserts, drinks and special teas from whole over the world. As soon as it is entered, it can be understood that this is not a place for lunch/dinner. Or not a place if you are hungry. However we wanted to try the Tuna Salad. Croquet Madam/Croquet Monsieur and classic Kishmish Tea.
The meal took 24 minutes to be served. Both Tuna Sandwich and Croquet Madam/Croquet Monsieur proves our hypothesis for the place in the first place.
However the tea, as soon as it came it made us acknowledge that there is something coming, with its vanilla like aroma. The plates, cup and the saucer are very well picked. The teapot is quite big, it can keep 3 cups of tea for each inside. Beside the tea, currant and lemon is given. And they also do have brown sugar along with the white sugar. Each cup reflects the taste of the better as it gets steeped. Basically a special tea we had. The first sip of tea is always the best, you cringe as it burns the back of your throat, knowing you just had the hottest carpe-diem portion. The temperature of tea is also right (considering that the perfect temperature for tea is two degrees hotter than just right).
In conclusion, Kishmish Club is a distinctive place in Baku, with its design and various options for tea which can be recommended for those who would like to try this taste.
In the end we would like our experience in 21st century to be explained by the words of a Chinese poet from 8th century.

The fourth cup raises a slight perspiration - all the wrongs of life pass out through my pores. At the fifth cup I am purified. The sixth cup calls me to the realms of the immortals. The seventh cup - ah, but I could take no more! I only feel the breath of the cool wind that raises in my sleeves. Where is Elysium? Let me ride on this sweet breeze and waft away thither.

Çayxorlar həmişə çayın vacibliyi və gözəlliyini dərk və etiraf etmişlər. Hər bir fiziki fəaliyyətin fiziki tərəfi kimi fəaliyyətin sentimental/kimyəvi tərəfi də var.
Sadəcə bir xatırlatma olsun deyə qeyd edək ki, tarixən Ice-Tea hamımızın bildiyi isti çaydan sonra kəşf olunmuşdur.
Bir fincan yaxşı çay içmək üçün biz Kişmiş Kluba üz tutduq, Kiçik Qala küçəsi 108. Dizayn olunmuş kafe şəhər mərkəzinə yaxındır. Məkanın yerləşməsi çox yaxşıdır. Ancaq qeyd edək ki, məkanın əsl gözəlliyi içəri daxil olarkən görünür. Burası kokteyl bardan və bir növ çay evindən ibarət kiçik bir yerdir. Dizaynın əsas atributları kitablar, müxtəlif suvenirlər, şamlar və çayniklərdir. Siz hətda təsəvvür edə bilərsiniz ki, bu məkan çayniklər üçün bir cənnətdir. Yada düşünün ki, ölmüş çaynikləri Kişmiş Kluba gətirirlər və onlar burda sonsuza qədər bir də insanoğluna qulluq etməyəcək bir şəkildə, rahatca yaşayırlar. Klubda doğurdan çoxlu çaynik var. Otağın sonunda isə piano var.
Az masa ilə çox uğurlu bir dizayn. Ancaq məkanın kiçik olması və suvenirlərlə bu qədər geniş dizayn olunması belə bir tesəvvür yaradır ki, masalar dolu olsa insan sıxılar, rahatsız olar. Aramızda qalsın burda o qədər suvenir, kitab, çaynik var ki, bir balaca səhv hərəkət və FSYO! Sanki domino effekti ilə məkan çökə bilər. Suvenirləri doldurublar eee. İşıqlara gəlincə isə onlar zəifdir və sakit bir ortam abu-havası yaradır. Ətrafınızda isə çoxlu şam var ürəyiniz hansını vəya hansılarını istəsə yandıra bilərsiz.
Kişmişdə ancaq bir işçi və bir ofisiant var. Ofisiantı geyiminə görə asanlıqla tanıya bilərsiz. Kişmişin 3 menyusu var. Sizə salatlar, sendviclər, desertlər, tostlar, içkilər və dünyanın hər bir guşəsindən gətirilmiş çaylar təqdim olunur. Məkana daxil olan kimi siz anlayacaqsınız ki, bura lanç vəya axşam yeməyi üçün bir məkan deyil. Fil yeyə biləcək qədər ac olsanız bura 100% sizlik deyil. Amma məşhur söhbətdəki kimi “tay gəlmişik də”, biz də Tuna Salad Sendviçi, Croquet Madam/Croquet Monsieur və klassik Kişmiş çayı sifariş etdik.
Yeməklər 24 dəqiqəyə gəldi. Buna baxmayaraq yeməklər bizim məkan üçün yürütdüyümüz hipotezin düz olduğunu bir daha göstərdi.
Ancaq çay, bax bu başqa məsələ! Elə ki, çay masamıza gətirildi, vanilla qoxusunu alan kimi başa düşdük ki, torbanın içində pişik var vəya çaynikin içində çay! Nəlbəki, stəkan, qab-qacaq çox uğurla seçilmişdir. Çaynik kifayət qədər böyükdür ikimizə 3 stəkan çay düşdü. Çaydan əlavə bizə qara və ağ kişmiş və limon təqdim olundu. Məkanda normal qəndlə birlikdə qəhvəyi qənd də təqdim olunur. Uzun sözün qısası biz nə isə xüsusi bir çay təqdim olunmuşduq. Birinci qurtum həmişə ən yaxşısıdır. İlk qurtumun sizin boğazınızı yandırması ilə hiss eliyirsiz ki, nəsə var! Çayın temperaturu yerində idi (çay üçün yerində olan temperatur həmişə elə həmin normal temperaturdan 2 dərəcə yuxarı olur. Deyəsən çaşduz. Hə?)
